Dr. Yarlagadda Nayudamma was conferred Padma Shri by the Government of India, on the eve of Republic day, 2016.
He did his pre-university course from Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada and later he got admission in Guntur Medical College, Guntur. He completed M.S. (Gen. Surgery) from Rohtak Medical College, Rohtak, Haryana and M. Ch. (Pediatric Surgery) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
Acharya Nagarjuna University has the Honour and Privilege of Conferring the Degree of "DOCTOR OF SCIENCE" HONORIS CAUSA ON DR. YARLAGADDA NAYUDAMMA. He worked as a Senior Resident in Pediatric Surgery at Kalawathi Saran Children Hospital attached to Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi in 1975 and later at AIIMS (New Delhi) till 1978.
